1960 Ford F100 Pickup
“Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.”
A Rare Classic American Truck with Grit and Soul
My 1960 Ford F100 isn’t just a truck—it’s a piece of American history on wheels. Powered by the original 223 inline 6-cylinder engine, this build is about staying true to its roots while breathing new life into a machine that was built to last.
This restoration project is happening right here in San Clemente with the help of ASE Certified Master Mechanic Brian Bunch at My Autoworx, where I’m stripping it down and building it back up—bolt by bolt, panel by panel. From the worn-out wiring to the tired suspension, every piece is getting the attention it deserves. But the heart of this truck—the 223 straight-six—is staying right where it belongs. Reliable, tough, and full of character, it’s the kind of motor that reminds you why these trucks earned their legendary status.
The goal isn’t perfection—it’s preservation with purpose. We’re keeping the soul intact while updating the essentials for the road ahead. Think rebuilt brakes, refreshed drivetrain, clean paint, and modern safety touches, all without losing that raw, vintage feel.
Follow the journey as I take this old workhorse and bring it back to life—with grease-stained hands, stubborn determination, and a deep respect for where it came from.
